And now for something completely different...a gift guide (or rather, three gift guides). Throughout the year this blog has introduced me to so many clever artisans, growers, chefs, collectors and makers and I thought it might be nice to bring a few of them together here and shine a little light on the beautiful goods they take to market (virtual and otherwise).
I've split all these goods into three separate gift guides and am beginning (selfishly) with my own wishlist (Tim...ahem...I've just made Christmas very easy, if not exorbitant, for you). Then on Monday I'll post a collection of gift ideas perfect for last minute family shopping, finishing on Tuesday with a round-up of handmade, foraged and low key presents for neighbours, teachers and friends.
If like me, you haven't begun Christmas shopping, I really hope that you might find a few ideas here and help us spread the local love this Christmas!
1. Salami knife made with our own antler and hand-forged for 1803 Artisan Deer Design ($220). 2. 8x10" 'Bouquet' print by local artist Amelia Herbertson, the cever lady responsible for my gorgeous header! ($25). 3. An original artwork by another wonderful local artist Kezz Brett, or anything really from Orange's Jumbled Online store.
Collages by the lovely and clever graphic designer Jess Rossiter.
I love the Emily Green necklace, its lovely x
