Book events and Mum's trees

3.03.2014

As I’ve mentioned once or twice before here, my mother Annie Herron is a talented artist. So it was pretty exciting when she agreed to do a few illustrations and paintings for my book, and as its release date approaches I wanted to share a few of them here.

Here above and below are four favourites. We used these trees to open each seasonal chapter and I love them. Thank you so much Mum, your contribution to the book means LOTS. And....speaking of the book’s release, if anyone is keen to come along, say hi and help celebrate it with me, here are a few dates for the diary:

27th March, Local is Lovely launch at the Orange City Library
Starts at 5.30pm and all are welcome (but bookings are essential), 02 6393 8132.  Supported by Collins Booksellers, Orange.

10th April, Local is Lovely dinner at the Agrestic Grocer,
This will be a truly local and very fun dinner with our friends at The Agrestic Grocer. $65pp includes 3-courses of recipes from the book. To book call (02) 6360 4604.

19th April, North Sydney Market 'Author Talk'
I'll be chatting with food writer/educator/presenter and friend Syd Pemberton about the book, markets and our farm while Tim 'mans' the stand! From 9-10am. More information here!
