The Friday List

12.04.2014

It's beginning to look, smell and feel a lot like Christmas around here. The tree is up, the dresser is loaded with cherries the makings of teacher presents and preserves and like everyone else, we are collectively flat out with work, end of term events and general festive ephemera.

In the midst of all of this, I snuck a little time online this week, visiting some favourite sites and bookmarking recipes; here are the fruits of this aimless web-wandering. Happy reading and have a fantastic weekend!

Oh, and if you happen to be in Sydney this weekend, Tim and our Mandagery Creek Venison will be at the Pyrmont Growers Market tomorrow for the last time!!! More on that later.

The deepest darkest gingerbread or what about a gingerbread terranium?

I loved this interview with Linda Lomelino of Call me Cupcake and this one with Mimi Thorisson of Manger. These women are so ridiculously talented.

The Danes really do everything, especially Christmas sooo well.

Would love to make a batch of these babies for brunch on Sunday. Or rather, would love somebody to make a batch for me.

The Food Dept just keeps getting better. This post is a cracker!

1 batch of shortbread dough, 5 ways to use it. Love this

This grilled panettone with blackberries and mascarpone could be the perfect Boxing Day breakfast.

Raw chocolate and pistachio bites. Yummo.

Oh, I'd love to have gone to this winter fair.

The perfect plum and ginger cake.

Hortus Cuisine - such a beautiful blog and the recipes are amazing (am so trying this summer pasta on Sunday)
