The Friday List

3.13.2014

Hello from Sydney! We are here for tomorrow's Northside Produce Market (and gee isn't it perfect venison weather...) plus a few meetings in the city today. So here in a little bit of a hurry, is this week's Friday List and a few pictures taken at home last weekend. It's so beautiful and green at the moment - I'm pretty keen to get back there on Sunday and chill out in the garden with my friend Alice and the papers.

The Friday List

Just can't wait to get my hands on a copy of this book - what a gorgeous sneak peak! Thank you Emma.

Would you like to live in an agrihood? According to this New York Times article - loads of Americans do and would. Such a great concept.

Crispy salt and pepper French toast? Sounds confusing but looks delicious...And also from I am a Food Blog, this miso coconut chicken looks like the perfect Sunday night comfort food. But I could also go for Emiko Davies' pizza with mozzarella and speck. Or maybe something a bit exotic but still comfortably in the comfort food spectrum like Yotam Ottolenghi's mejadra recipe.

Spiced eggplant and buffalo mozarella salad from the always tasty Lush Loves

And I really wouldn't mind waking up this Cardamonm-toasted millet breakfast bowl with summer berries from my new blog crush Dolly and Oatmeal.

Had enough of kale chips? Lets switch to cabbage ones then.

This week's armchair travel - and a warning, this place is so beautiful it's almost hard to look.

Yowsers these guys know how to cater an event with style. I love everything about this post; from the canapes to the Neil Young performance.

This party, according to its host, was a bit Gone with the Wind, a bit Great Gatsby and a bit Seven Brides for Seven Brothers - according to me, it looks just plain awesome. Beautifully photographed by Jennifer Emerling.

Favourite pinners this week:
Are you on Pinterest? I am (find me here) - and have been especially loving the piccies from these guys:

Nathan Williams, founder of Kinfolk magazine so of course it's all achingly beautiful and cool.

Fliss Dodd of the divine online childrens' wear label Udder -her aesthetic is cool, calm and warm at the same time - hope that makes sense!

Favourite instagram-ers this week:
BabyMac - Beth is one cool lady (do you know her blog? It's awesome) and I always love her little insights into what looks like a pretty darn beautiful life in the NSW Southern Highlands.

Louisa Brimble of Alphabet Journal - so clever, lovely and generous. This instagram feed is just like the lady herself!

Ps - you can find me here on Instagram.

  2. I love your pictures from home Sophie. Great links as always...inspiration and distraction! I listened to your ABC interview on Thursday, it was exciting to hear your voice. I happened to be kneading croissant ferment at the time and it was perfectly peaceful, just for a few moments anyway! Enjoy your weekend x
